As I hoped, some of you are starting to come forward with feedback and little facts and corrections. Ashley Hemming (bilver 99) tells me that the 1948/9 catalogue actually goes up to Set O (Celluloids) in red and blue. The Set G card team sheets are available 1 to 16 and Set E super flattened bases in seven colours (no light blue unti 1949). Thanks Ashley. He has also sent me various early goal pictures, keepers, accessories and sets etc for which I am very grateful.

Keith and Sheila Middleton (Middle42) tell me that they have a Newfooty set stating that Newfooty did indeed stop production during the war and not restart production until 1947.

Thanks to Mark Adolph for letting me use his two photographs of button bases and the Beatles set. His book 'Growing up with Subbuteo' is a good read and tells us more about Peter Adolph the man. I hoped Mark would have information that was too boring for the book but of interest to the collector but sadly he tells me this is not the case.
