One feature of the mail order Subbuteo business was the sturdy brown cardboard boxes in which sets and accessories were despatched in the post. These boxes are likely to become collectors items in their own right. They are so readily identifiable you never mistake one, it's a bit like your first taste of Henderson's Relish. So I am going to write very little on this page and just add some pictures.

The little box for footballs



It always seems like a nice bonus when something you have bought arrives in one of these boxes. Sometimes it is like Christmas day: the box is more fun than what it contains.

A shallow box for flat items



As with so many items in the Subbuteo field, I would love to know who made these boxes. Some, if not all, would appear to have been specially designed for the company and the items inside.
